Another update from Screenhog showing us more from the level he was working on. Now the bugs detect you, but they won’t hurt you. The mice can kill the bugs already with a single hit. Check out the video from Screenhog showing us the improvements:

Seems like Mech Mice is getting better every week. We except more updates from Screenhog and Rsnail.
EDIT: The new chapter 4 is out. Check it out.

The design on RocketSnail.com, the home of RocketSnail Games has changed. The homepage has changed and there are a couple of new other pages such as the Team, Games and Blog. This is how the homepage looks at the moment:

New RocketSnail.com Desing - September 19, 2011

(The mice are pirates in the homepage illustration. I think this image will change at least once a month)

The team and the friends are on the Team page. This is what is written on it:

About the Company:

RocketSnail Games is the top secret developer of online games and digital toys that challenge players’ imaginations. Disguised as a snail rehabilitation centre, our offices are hidden in the beautiful city of Kelowna, BC. The secret of our success stems from extensive research and study of the behaviour of snails. After years of research our crack team of snail scientists have determined that small bursts of imagination is the key to productivity in game development.

Team:
Lance Priebe, Chris Hendricks, Cale Atkinson

Friends:
Screenhog, The Miller Brothers

There is a Games page featuring the current project, Mech Mice, but past games too. This is what is written on it:

The Mech Mice game will be an online tactical strategy game, where you collect mice, create squads and join your friends to battle the enemy.

“My goal is to create a new kind of property. A property that blends reading books, collecting toys, and playing games.”
– Lance Priebe

Past Games:
Ballistic Biscuit, Mancala Snails, Word Crunch, Experimental Penguins

And of course, the blog page where are the latest updates. This is definitively an improvement and we, of course, are waiting for even more content. Check out the new RocketSnail.com yourself!

Mech Mice Desert Battle Concept Art

Mech Mice Desert Battle Concept Art

Something new in the Mech Mice world, a concept art of mech mice battling in desert with giant desert-like bugs. The artwork is probably done by Cale and it’s definitively a good job. You can see the mice are wearing special desert suits and that this artwork is probably not related to the story.

Mech Mice Quick Update from Screenhog Video

0

EDIT: The chapter one of the Mech Mice story has been re-made, the chapter pages on this website have been modified and the new chapter has been added.

Screenhog posted a video on YouTube with some interesting stuff about Mech Mice. This video was mentioned by rsnail on Facebook. The video shows us what is the team doing: Screenhog working on some levels, Cale drawing some illustrations of Magenta and Miller Brothers are working on the Chapter 9. Pretty cool stuff, check out the video:

Screenhog hasn’t recorded rsnail doing anything, but he is sure working hard to make Mech Mice a great game, just as Club Penguin is. Also it is possible that the computer with the webcam on is rsnail’s computer.

Mech Mice Update from Rsnail – Where is Chapter 5?

0

This is the message that rsnail posted on his blog:

“Well summer is almost over and it is time to get back to work!

Screenhog has been busy working on the latest Mech Mice prototype, we should have another video next week. Cale continues to draw amazing illustrations of the Mech Mice world, I can’t wait to show you the “bar fight” illustration. The Miller Brothers are busy finishing the first Mech Mice book, and we hope to have the book set to the printers by the end of this month. (Stay tuned) I have been busy working on the new (boring) RocketSnail website.

So where is chapter 5?

Based on all your feedback we have decided to make a couple changes to chapters 1-5.  Starting this week I will re-post all the chapters for you to read.

Why the changes?

Seems alot of our girl fans did not like Magenta, so we decided to rewrite her character and make her Ziro’s lieutenant (2nd in command).

Keep posting your comments!”

The most important thing he said is that Magenta, Mech Mice character will be changed, because girl fans didn’t like it. I think it is a really good a idea to make the story and the game how the fans want. This post came without any image, but rsnail said that Cale is still working on Mech Mice illustrations and that he’ll show us a “bar fight” illustration soon.

Mech Mice Concept Art - Old Cover

Mech Mice Concept Art – August 16, 2011

Mech Mice Concept Art - Old CoverRsnail posted on his blog another illustration of the Mech Mice characters and he invited us to read the first four chapters. The concept art is on the right and this is rsnail’s message: “Above is one of the many concept illustrations for the Mech Mice book. The book will be available for sale on Amazon this fall. Stay tuned as we giveaway a new chapter every month.” You will be able to buy the book on Amazon starting this Fall, but the chapters will be available on the site anyway. The name of the image is “old cover”. Probably this artwork was made to be the cover of the Mech Mice book.
